Court Order Youth Community Service 12- 20

In partnership with the McElrath Improvement Corporation and Another Chance of Ohio, the Beloved Community Corps provides two transformative adult Community Service opportunities under court-ordered supervision, where participants engage in meaningful work to give back to society.

 

Youth assist with the restoration and further upkeep of the Mitchell-McClelland Ballfield and community gardens located in the McElrath district of Ravenna, OH. In preperation for future youth and multi-generational sports leagues.

 

Some youth serve as coaches, umpires, grounds, score, and stats keepers providing meaningful service through sports and community engagement.  Creating a supportive environment for personal development, community growth and re-entry.

 

Secondly, Some youth will assist with the Beloved Community Closet.  assisting assisting with management and distribution of free clothing, household items, and other essential resources to peers, individuals and families in Ravenna, OH.  Portage county and parts of Cuyahoga and Summit counties.

 

Youth participate in programing along side their family and peers, creating memories and positive expirences together.

  • Youth Mentoring and support

    Weekly scheduled gatherings to assist youth with opportunities to creativity express themselves in ways that promote social inclusion, health and wellness, sports and fun!

  • Sports

    Kickball, flag football, soccer, basketball, softball and more.

  • Service learning

    Youth directed community service projects, and programs designed to reduce the spacial barriers within generations, and all community stake holders.
